In elementary school, I channeled my creativity into hand-drawn cards, selling under the name Custom Cards by Ashleigh. With crayons and markers as my tools, I brought my designs to life. Fast forward to my college years at Elon University, where I studied marketing, I crossed paths with Claire, a talented graphic designer with a sharp eye for aesthetics. Our paths diverged after graduation, but fate had a way of bringing us back together.
Four years later, after moving to Claire’s hometown of Austin, Texas, I found myself in need of a few thank you cards. I reached out to Claire, only to learn she had always dreamed of starting a card business but felt overwhelmed by the business side of things. That conversation sparked an idea that would soon turn into reality.
A few weeks later, Claire and I were meeting up at local Austin spots like Flat Track and Better Half to brainstorm and shape the vision for what would become Just Right. We poured our hearts into defining our focus and branding, combining Claire’s design prowess with my business acumen.
While you won’t find any Custom Cards by Ashleigh for sale today, our partnership has allowed us to fulfill our lifelong dreams. Just Right Design Co. was born from our shared passion and creativity. Our products, all designed and printed locally, reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability, including our efforts to eliminate single-use plastic in our packaging.
As proud dog moms (shoutout to Odie & Pinto Beans), our product line features a strong focus on dogs. We infuse our love for these furry friends into our playful and laid-back designs, hoping they bring a smile to your face and make you feel Just Right.
